I'm so sick of my uber Christian relatives on Facebook. I can't log on without seeing their radical Christian stuff. I'm seriously considering deleting them. Their "in-your-face" behavior just bugs the crap out of me. Granted, my aunt hasn't sent me a message on here reprimanding me for my language in a long time. Thank God.

You know, I'm a Christian. I believe in and love Jesus Christ, but I can't stand it when Christians play the victim card, and when Christians think that every little thing pertains to Christianity. For example, my cousin saw the movie "The Book of Eli." (It's awesome, btw. I saw it in the theatre. If you haven't seen it, watch it.) In the movie, Denzel's carrying a Bible around and this bad guy wants it. At the end, Dumbledore puts the Bible on a bookshelf beside the Qur'an and the Torah. The Torah is part of the Bible, but it's the Jews holy book. My cousin is all talking about how the movie praises Christianity and God and stuff, and I just don't see it. He says that it's showing how the word of God is eternal. There's no way you can tell me it's saying that the word of God is eternal when he puts the word of God beside the freakin' Muslim's holy book. Is the word of Allah and Muhammad eternal too then? Of course my cousin would say "NO!" - And what about the Jews' Torah? - "NO! Because they don't believe that Jesus Christ is the savior!"

AUGH.

Another thing they've done to piss me off is saying how Obama canceled the National Day of Prayer... and "as an American Christian, I am offended." ( LoL Come on, you know you saw that shit on Facebook or got it in an email FWD)

Oh please. You're saying that Christianity is the only religion that prays? If the National Day of Prayer was in fact, canceled (too bad it wasn't), then EVERY religion would be screwed. But who's the government to tell me "TODAY IS THE DAY YOU PRAY!" (Separation of Church & State?!) If you're sooo religious to be offended by the cancellation, then you're probably religious enough to pray more than one damn day a year. Actually, my relatives weren't the only ones to post about this. I had a few friends that posted that crap, and I posted the Snopes link right back at them to shut them up.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/prayerday.asp

Dumbasses. Although, I will say, that the message on Snopes says to repost that you agree, no matter what religion you are... but yet as an AMERICAN CHRISTIAN you're offended. *lesigh*

It really bugs me that they think that National Day of Prayer is just for Christians. Sense of entitlement much?

They want you to cater to Christianity, because it's "freedom," but yet if you honor FREEDOM and cater to all religions, you're persecuting the Christians. But it's a-ok to persecute everyone else.

I don't want to be associated with these types of Christians. I think that their behavior gives Christianity a bad rep.

Jesus Christ only asked two things of us. #1: to love each other, and #2: to believe in Him. And I try my very best to do both of those things everyday.

And for the record, #2 is WAAAAAY easier to do than #1.

Happy Halloween, everyone! I hope ya'll had a safe night, whatever you chose to do. I spent my Halloween night in the emergency room. Apparently, I have a pretty severe UTI. I had no idea until like, Friday, when my back started hurting. So I finally caved last night and went in. They put me on 14 days worth of antibiotics, this prescription-grade AZO-type stuff, and Vicodin. Yeah. Vicodin.

So now I want to rant. I was reading the headlines, and it said something about Ryan Seacrest's stalker being arrested or something like that. I'm absolutely fucking sick of reading about stalkers being arrested and restraining orders being taken out. It's a complete contradiction to punish these people when we have things like TMZ and Inside Edition and OK! magazine.

I just don't get it.

I love living up here in Massachusetts. I can't believe how happy I am. It's beautiful up here this time of year, too! I thought it was all hype, honestly, but WOW!

Okay, now here are pics. I have no idea who reads this, but whatever. I'm sure my husband will give it a once-over! LoL

As you can see, I am sans one Meezer, and plus a Guinea Pig. We are technically only allowed to have 2 cats in our apartment. My mother was really having a hard time trying to decide who would stay down in Georgia, and who would make the trip up to Massachusetts and live with me and Nate. When she took the cats in for their checkup before the trip, one of the nurses there *LOVED* Bandit. She and her husband already had one Siamese and were looking for another. Strangely enough, Bandit loved her too! So Bandit has a new home now. I was upset for a little bit, and I miss him terribly (that weirdo), but I trust my mother and I know that he's in a good home with a fellow Meezer. The Guinea Pig is Stella. She's a crazy loudmouth lil' bitch, so she fits right in with our crew. The cats don't even notice her anymore. She's an absolute joy to have around. She's a very picky eater, and no matter what fresh treat I bring home and cut up into little pieces and give to her, Curly Parsley is her choice. Which is fine because it's rich in vitamin C...and she doesn't make any herself, so she can eat all she wants! WHAT A PIG!

I adore this man.

Jon Stewart is so well-spoken and smart as hell. Nate told me about this a while back, and I finally watched it today. I love how they sit facing him. The desk is even angled toward the guest. It's like an interrogation or something. It's meant to be intimidating, but Mr. Stewart just doesn't fall into the trap.

I personally cannot stand shows like this. To me, it's nothing but noise and it gives me a headache. Just those voices going back and forth and walking all over each other. It annoys the hell out of me. Maybe that's why I was afraid to join debate club in high school? LoL! Nate reminded me they usually have two guests, but on this episode they only had one. I must say, Jon Stewart holds his own flawlessly.

Oh! And Nate and I have the "America" book that's featured on the show. It's laid out like a textbook. It's brilliant.

It's over.

The other people called with an offer, and my car wreck case is FINALLY settled. The offer was $100,000. I took it. Because the max we could get was $110,000. After all the stuff is taken out, I should get around $62,000. I'm getting a new car, and saving the rest.

It's so weird that we settled my case on the day that marks 5 years since Danielle's suicide. I can't believe it's been that long. What a journey. And although hers is over, mine is (in some ways) just beginning. A door closed the day that she died. And 5 years later, another one closes. I am moving further and further away from my past. That cloud isn't hanging over me anymore.

It's definitely bittersweet.

I'm moving on.
At last I can see life has
been patiently waiting for me.

edit: I made a photo page on Shutterfly. It's the New York day trip.

That site is *SO* simple and user friendly. I love it! Let me know if there are any mistakes or anything like that. Or if you're unable to view anything! It's my first venture into making a page with Shutterfly!

I flew to Georgia on Friday. I'll go back to Mass on the 1st. Hopefully gonna settle my car wreck case while I'm down here. I miss my husband though.

Anywhoooo.

Saw "Gone with the Wind" last night at The Fox Theater.

Stayed at The Georgian Terrace.

...and my mother saw a man sitting on the edge of my bed during the night.

Next Wednesday, I am getting on a train and going to NYC to see the Martha Stewart show.

I am *SO* effing excited.

I think I am gonna pee.

I can't wear sneakers. LOL Apparently, Martha forbids it.

God I love that woman.

P.S: My birthday is this Thursday. I'll be 23. Holy shit. Also, I'm going to Georgia on the 17th. w00t
