Happy Halloween, everyone! I hope ya'll had a safe night, whatever you chose to do. I spent my Halloween night in the emergency room. Apparently, I have a pretty severe UTI. I had no idea until like, Friday, when my back started hurting. So I finally caved last night and went in. They put me on 14 days worth of antibiotics, this prescription-grade AZO-type stuff, and Vicodin. Yeah. Vicodin.

So now I want to rant. I was reading the headlines, and it said something about Ryan Seacrest's stalker being arrested or something like that. I'm absolutely fucking sick of reading about stalkers being arrested and restraining orders being taken out. It's a complete contradiction to punish these people when we have things like TMZ and Inside Edition and OK! magazine.

I just don't get it.

I love living up here in Massachusetts. I can't believe how happy I am. It's beautiful up here this time of year, too! I thought it was all hype, honestly, but WOW!

Okay, now here are pics. I have no idea who reads this, but whatever. I'm sure my husband will give it a once-over! LoL

As you can see, I am sans one Meezer, and plus a Guinea Pig. We are technically only allowed to have 2 cats in our apartment. My mother was really having a hard time trying to decide who would stay down in Georgia, and who would make the trip up to Massachusetts and live with me and Nate. When she took the cats in for their checkup before the trip, one of the nurses there *LOVED* Bandit. She and her husband already had one Siamese and were looking for another. Strangely enough, Bandit loved her too! So Bandit has a new home now. I was upset for a little bit, and I miss him terribly (that weirdo), but I trust my mother and I know that he's in a good home with a fellow Meezer. The Guinea Pig is Stella. She's a crazy loudmouth lil' bitch, so she fits right in with our crew. The cats don't even notice her anymore. She's an absolute joy to have around. She's a very picky eater, and no matter what fresh treat I bring home and cut up into little pieces and give to her, Curly Parsley is her choice. Which is fine because it's rich in vitamin C...and she doesn't make any herself, so she can eat all she wants! WHAT A PIG!

I adore this man.

Jon Stewart is so well-spoken and smart as hell. Nate told me about this a while back, and I finally watched it today. I love how they sit facing him. The desk is even angled toward the guest. It's like an interrogation or something. It's meant to be intimidating, but Mr. Stewart just doesn't fall into the trap.

I personally cannot stand shows like this. To me, it's nothing but noise and it gives me a headache. Just those voices going back and forth and walking all over each other. It annoys the hell out of me. Maybe that's why I was afraid to join debate club in high school? LoL! Nate reminded me they usually have two guests, but on this episode they only had one. I must say, Jon Stewart holds his own flawlessly.

Oh! And Nate and I have the "America" book that's featured on the show. It's laid out like a textbook. It's brilliant.

It's over.

The other people called with an offer, and my car wreck case is FINALLY settled. The offer was $100,000. I took it. Because the max we could get was $110,000. After all the stuff is taken out, I should get around $62,000. I'm getting a new car, and saving the rest.

It's so weird that we settled my case on the day that marks 5 years since Danielle's suicide. I can't believe it's been that long. What a journey. And although hers is over, mine is (in some ways) just beginning. A door closed the day that she died. And 5 years later, another one closes. I am moving further and further away from my past. That cloud isn't hanging over me anymore.

It's definitely bittersweet.

I'm moving on.
At last I can see life has
been patiently waiting for me.

edit: I made a photo page on Shutterfly. It's the New York day trip.

That site is *SO* simple and user friendly. I love it! Let me know if there are any mistakes or anything like that. Or if you're unable to view anything! It's my first venture into making a page with Shutterfly!

I am *SO* effing excited.

I think I am gonna pee.

I can't wear sneakers. LOL Apparently, Martha forbids it.

God I love that woman.

P.S: My birthday is this Thursday. I'll be 23. Holy shit. Also, I'm going to Georgia on the 17th. w00t

Merry Christmas Jonas Brothers Pictures, Images and Photos

For you, Dee. You said you were afraid something "Jonas related" from me would show up on your doorstep. Nope. It just showed up on your friends page. ;)

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday, no matter what you do.

"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, 'Fear not: for behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the City of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.' And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, 'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.'"

[Linus picks up his blanket and walks back towards Charlie Brown]

That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown.

- Linus Van Pelt, "A Charlie Brown Christmas"

Holy crap. Did anyone realize that this is from 1965? Good lawd. Them kids have been latchkey for DECADES!

Merry Christmas, you guys.

Peace.

NATE IS COMING HOME ON TUESDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(I'm dancing like my Raver Garf icon. Just for the record.)

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I saw "Twilight" w/ Dee @ midnight. I know that it was like 2 1/2 hours or something like that, but it went by really fast for me. I giggled a lot, but I dunno...I really liked it. I want to see it again. But I don't think I'll expose Nathan to it. He'd probably tear it apart. Poor SMeyer. She wouldn't stand a chance with him. LoL.

OH! And here's a video for the song I'm listening to. I have no idea why, but I've just randomly had it stuck in my head for like a week.

Oh William. Your hips, indeed, don't lie. =P

Well golly gee, tonight was just the bestest night ever!

Dee and I went to see The Cab, Plain White Ts, Dashboard Confessional, and Panic at the Disco. It was just fabulous.

Last weekend, Halloween night actually, I went to Medieval Times with mum, my aunt Janell, and my cousin Jansson. It was *SO* fun. So...I'll stick pics from that and from the concert tonight underneath a cut...cause I'm a good lil' poster like that.

I fucking *LOVE* articles like this!

http://tech.msn.com/products/articlepcw.aspx?cp-documentid=10891087>1=40000

While locating the most useful sites on the Web, we felt it only fair to call out the some of the most useless, too. We found no shortage of sites that are poorly designed or boring, but we list here some of the sites that go that extra mile -- the dazzlingly ugly, the patently offensive and the mind-bogglingly pointless.

AOL AIM Dashboard: I'll admit that Dashboard already has two strikes against it just because it immediately gets right into my face every time AIM starts up, which means every time I fire up my PC. Once this lame site has your eyeballs, the site seems willing to do anything to keep them, if just for a few seconds, using eye-candy graphics and tabloidy headlines like "High School Love Triangle" and "My Nasty Texts Went to my Dad!" Strike Three.

HavenWorks: If a Web-design program got sick and threw up, it might look something like this site. My uncle from Santa Cruz says the first time he saw it he had an acid flashback.

Juicy Campus: Juicy Campus provides a public place where college kids can engage in gossipy smear-fests against fellow students, teachers or anybody else, with complete anonymity. The tenor and intelligence level of the posts are, well, what you might expect from people who spend most of their time pulling bong hits, playing "Madden 2000," beer-sliding and vomiting up Night Train.

Zombo: A Web site? Concept art? A prank gone horribly wrong? I honestly don't know. Open the page and you will hear: "This is Zombo.com. You can do anything at Zombo.com. The only limit is yourself. Anything can happen at Zombo.com." Well, in fact, nothing happens at Zombo.com.

Brill Publications: It's virtual! It's like being in the real world, except, uh, it's on the Net! On the InterWeb! Walk through the front door of Brill Publications. See the secretary. Take the elevator. Talk to Bob on the fifth floor. Wait, why am I here?

City Optix: Sorry to pick on this little local optometry franchise, but sites that immediately launch and force you to watch ridiculously long, loud and inane flash presentations -- and there are many of them -- drive me nuts. This one is one of the worst examples of site design I've seen.

Digg: OK, Digg isn't a horrible site, but it is one of the most depressing when you compare it to what it once was. Digg's top stories (as voted on by Digg users) used to be interesting and tech-oriented. But since Digg has grown so immensely popular, the top 10 Diggs usually consist of "lowest common denominator" stories: funny photos and videos, for the most part. It's a site cursed by its own popularity.

Weekly World News: "The world's only reliable news" site is chock full of news you can't do without. A recent lead feature investigates whether James Carville or Britney Spears (bald) looks more like "Bat Boy." Why isn't CNN all over this?

Meet an Inmate: Life not creepy enough for you? Now you can befriend and correspond with a lonely ex-meth-addict doing hard time in Leavenworth for aggravated assault.

Bermuda Triangle: Stunningly bad graphics and site design are mixed with really pointless content. It's a double threat.

I went to the zombo.com website, and I have to say....it scared the hell out of me. I am not kidding. What the fuck. And the HavenWorks site gave me a headache.

These kinds of articles, though, always interest me. I dunno why. I could honestly care less about the news, but shit like this? I just love it! :)

P.S: Two TV shows I recommend: "TrueBlood" on HBO. "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS. WATCH. LOVE.

Nate's mom is coming tomorrow! WOOOO! (Happy 23rd birthday, by the way, Nate! I love you! This is your last birthday as a bachelor! Muahahaaaa! MINE IS AN EVIL LAUGH!) On Saturday, my mother's teacher friends are throwing me a bridal shower! MY FIRST ONE! I'm really excited, especially because Nate's mom will be here for it. When they told my mother that they wanted to have the shower for me, we decided to have it while she was down here. Yay.

take the horror challenge

Dee is gonna try to do it. I averaged it out, and it's like 3.2 movies a day or something like that. Haha. Wow. I wasn't sure if I could come up with that many movies to watch, so I decided not to do it.

Then I found

http://www.best-horror-movies.com/top-100-horror-movies.html

and

http://www.imdb.com/chart/horror

I doubt I'm going to use all of the movies on this list (there are 3 wildcards you can use on whatever you like - like TV shows) but after looking through it I changed my mind and decided that I'd give the challenge a go! It's not gonna hurt anything. And plus, it gives me something to do. LoL.

I decided to watch The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari first. I found it in its entirety on Google video search. I was really happy about that. :) I think after The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, I'm going to watch Nosferatu. I was able to find that movie in its entirety on YouTube. Thank God, because my download has been taking FOREVER. LoL. Ohhhh Nosferatu, a Symphony of Horror! Haha. I love that name. Ohhh the symphony. Tis so horrific!

Which reminds me...

I have always wanted to watch this one. You see clips from these movies so often, yet you don't ever really think much about it.

I'm really eager to watch the older movies, especially the silent ones. I haven't watched a silent movie in a looooong time. I think they're so creative. Definitely a lost art.

SO ANYWAY. I'm going to keep track of my movie challenge on here, so expect a post from me soon detailing my failure! LoL! ;)

[rant]

Okay, so last night I watched "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." In the movie, a ship goes under the water, and a carriage is led by flying unicorns or some shit. They write their names on a slip of paper and put it into a cup with a blue flame. The cup knows your age [you must be 17 or older to compete in the tournament]. The cup also spits out the pieces of paper at Dumbledore to determine who will compete in the tournament. The tournament is full of crazy shit like vines that will eat your face and dragons who defend their golden egg.

So now, I'm sitting here watching "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," and Harry is in trouble for doing a spell to make these shadowy things go away because they were sucking off his and his cousin's faces. A letter arrives and informs [yes it speaks to Harry] him that he's been expelled from Hogwart's for casting the spell.

Professor Moody flies in with his posse on brooms to sweep Harry away [oh yeah. I said it] to this apartment building that like...expands and reveals a whole entire home within the building, that can accommodate some 15 or 20 folks.

Harry rides in a telephone booth elevator and goes to his trial.

Then what happens?

Oh the people raise their hands and vote.

WTF.

They raise their fucking hands to make a vote? That's it? I've been sitting here for the past 25 minutes and that's all you're giving me? What the hell. Are you kidding?

Harry Potter is MAGIC. Magic that is...utterly endless! And you guys sit around and raise your fucking hands?

I bitched to Nate about it and he was like "What do you expect them to do?" and I said "I don't know! Break out a cauldron or get a picture that talks or something! I mean, they write letters and owls deliver them, letters that SPEAK, ride on brooms, and can turn back time and shit...they can do ANYTHING...yet they raise their hands to decide something?"

It is the most ridiculous, absurd, anti-climatic scene of a movie I have seen in a VERY long time. I'm so disappointed.

And I'm not kidding.

Nate still doesn't get it.

[/rant]

PS: I am in all of the crowd scenes of "Harry Potter."
